about drewe
I am an artist that demands the inclusion of all voices to fully encompass the diaspora of human experience and stories. In my work I hold myself to letting go of urgency - instead I will make space for growth, healing, and patience. The product is no longer the goal, rather the process and development of human voice and story is the goal, in a space that is gracious, kind, and receptive to each story.

Drewe Goldstein (She/ Her) is a writer and artist based in Brooklyn, New York.
Her directing work has been exhibited recently at Yale University earning her praise from the Yale Herald saying "What set Fiddler apart was not its more expensive stage design, but rather the ingenuity of its directing, the emotional tenor of its acting, and the dramatic unity it exuded throughout. If we were to praise all shows, the following praise would be worthless."
Prior to her time at Yale, Drewe's work had been featured at other prominent institutions such as; NYU Tisch Graduate School of Drama, and Columbia University.
Her passion for developing new stories has brought her onto the teams of sucking on hard candy (Writer Director), Taryn Marie (Writer/ Director), Bliss (Associate Director), A Walk on the Moon (Associate Director), Most Happy, I and You, and Warm.
On Broadway Drewe has worked on Hamilton, Freestyle Love Supreme, and Passover.
She is a frequent friendly face at 54 Below, Joe's Pub, and the J Train. And she loves to smile at strangers.
"Something that I keep reminding myself in this time of a lot of uncertainty and being very fearful is that the biggest act of rebellion that I have is showing up fully as myself every day. And I challenge myself every day to do that. I hope that this production allows people to come into the space and realize that the full version of themselves is not only just a rebellion, but a celebration, and we are here to hold each other. And I want to see you as you. That is all I want. I just want truth and I want joy and I want honesty. And I think that that’s what this gets to be. It just gets to be community in its most honest form." - Drewe Goldstein on BUTCH WICKED in THEM
